ProLogic Brings Technological Innovation to Coupon Processing
AutoScan, used for standard coupons from newspaper FSIs, is ProLogic’s fastest and most efficient system for sorting coupons and is totally unique in the coupon processing industry. It features customized coupon management software and has been upgraded to support the industry's new GS1 DataBar barcode standard. Using state-of-the-art automated conveyers, coupons in large lot sizes and in good condition can be processed up to three times faster (up to 3,200 coupons/hour) compared to a manual process. AutoScan is used for large retail chains that do not require store-level reporting.
In the AutoScan process, coupons are automatically sorted by manufacturer using an innovative technique that optimizes both speed and accuracy. It utilizes a long conveyor with adjacent bins that correspond to each manufacturer. The bins are dynamically assigned to specific manufacturers based on each store’s historical volume by manufacturer.
Coupons are placed on the conveyor belt and scanned by high-quality imaging scanners. This scan determines the bin into which the coupon will be sorted. Each coupon proceeds down the conveyor, and when it reaches its proper bin the system directs it into the bin with a puff of air. AutoScan is another example of ProLogic's application of technology to provide customers with better service and lower costs.
